Guilford College Description:

Guilford College is a highly-ranked private liberal arts college located in Greensboro, North Carolina. With ties to the Quakers, Guilford has always valued community, diversity, and justice. The college has been coeducational since its establishment in the 1830s, and it served as a station on the Underground Railroad. Today Guilford College wins high marks for both its value and its green efforts. The college has a 16 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and it is one of the 40 schools featured in Loren Pope's well-regarded Colleges That Change Lives. In athletics, the Guilford Quakers compete in the NCAA Division III Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
