Walla Walla University is a private college affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Despite its name, the college is located in College Place, Washington. Walla Walla is three miles away. The school is a master's degree granting institution, but the primary focus is on undergraduates working towards a bachelor's degree. Professional fields of engineering, nursing, and business are the most popular majors among undergraduates. Founded in 1892, Walla Walla University takes its Seventh-day Adventist history seriously, and Christian values are central to the school's vision and philosophy. The Walla Walla Wolves compete in NAIA athletics.
